Finally found a workshop that doesn't treat my car like a guessing game
I've been burned twice now by garages that promised they knew BMWs and then just threw parts at the problem hoping something would stick, so I was proper skeptical when a mate told me about a BMW Garage engine workshop he'd used for his E90. I went in expecting the usual runaround but they actually took the time to explain what was wrong with my N20 and showed me the old chain tensioner before swapping it out, which nobody had bothered doing before. The car's been running quietly for three weeks now and I keep waiting for something to go wrong but honestly it just feels solid again. Not saying they're perfect because I've only used them once, but it's the first time in a while I didn't feel like I was being taken for a ride. If you're tired of the guesswork, might be worth a look.
